The following are the rules for kings and queens. Every king and queen on the site is an actual player, and not controlled by an admin.
1. To become a king or queen, there are multiple methods.
-The most basic way is if a land does not currently have a king/queen, then you simply only have to walk into the king/queen chambers, and claim yourself king/queen. If this action is uninterrupted for 48 hours, then you have succeeded.
-Another way, is to usurp the current king/queen. This means killing them, or forcing them to step down from the throne. The king/queen can call upon as much aid as they can, no doubt making for an extremely long and deadly fight. However, gathering a force of your own and making an uprising may change the tide.
-The last way is to be announced as the heir, by the current king/queen. Then, if/when they step down from the throne and retire, it becomes yours, even if you are not family.
2. The king/queen, and only them, have the power to denounce people of their land as a rogue, though they must have a legitimate reason. Once denounced rogue, you are no longer a part of that land, no longer have its protection, and run the risk of having a bounty placed on your head by the king/queen. Only the king/queen that put the title of rogue upon you can remove it for that land. It is possible, however, to only have the title of rogue in a single land.
3. The king/queen may negotiate with other king/queens, though any conversation must be through letters or direct face to face. They may also assign people of their lands to be the diplomat for a certain land(s).
4. Only the king/queen can declare war on another land. However, once done so, you cannot be denounced a rogue for attacking that land. It is also only the king/queen that can then declare peace on a war.
5. The king/queen can assign positions of power and ranks to their people within their land as they see fit.
6. Any sort of formal army or defense must be arranged by the king/queen.
7. The king/queen can train a personal guard for themselves. Each guard requires 3,000 words of training to gain, and they may only have 5 maximum. The guard is classless, but is one of the three categories, which one of the three is up to the king/queen. The guard starts at the basic starting attributes, with only the starting weapons, armor, and skill/spell for their category. The guard cannot gain attribute levels or other skills/spells, armor, or weapons. Once trained, these guards may be used in combat to either defend the king/queen or the throne if the king/queen is away. The guard, however, cannot interact in the king/queen's place. They cannot be sent out to gather information and report back, as it is intended that if the king/queen wants such done, they will get an actual player to do so. The guard can only be used IC if they are in a topic with the king/queen.
8. Every Seer is under the command of a king/queen. If there are more active Seers than there are king/queens, then multiple Seers will act under one king/queen. If there are more king/queens than there are active Seers, then the more recent king/queens will be without a Seer.
9. If a king/queen goes inactive for too long, or dies, their position of power is passed on. The position first goes to the heir, however, if there is no heir, then the position goes to the Seer. The Seer will then pass on the position as soon as they can to someone who they deem worthy IC. However, if there is neither an heir or a Seer, the throne will simply become vacant, and the first rule for becoming a king/queen comes into play.
10. The king/queen can order executions, however, only on people who were denounced rogue, and then captured. Any execution of a non-rogue will be denied.
11. Any single person can only rule one land, and no more than one. A king/queen cannot rule over multiple lands at the same time.
12. The king/queen alone has the power to accept or decline people to become citizens of their land. Being a citizen of a land will affect how much income the king/queen makes, as well as any treaties or wars going on.
