The following are the rules on equipment & items, which can range from a sturdy piece of rope, to a strange orb you keep in your basement. Magic or not, big or large, expensive or worthless, if your character keeps it on their person and interacts with it, these rules apply.

1. All equipment & items must have descriptions of what exactly it does, as specific as possible, and how it can be used. The equipment & item then cannot do anything that is not specifically specified in its description.

2. Equipment & items can be magical, however, just like the equipment/item itself, the limitations of that magic must be specified.

3. Equipment & items can have the potential to do damage (through magic or other means), however, they cannot be just a weapon. An orb with the power to shoot out fire is still considered equipment/item, however, if you have a knife on the end of a string, that is a weapon, not an item.

4. Players cannot simply "find" equipment & items by themselves. Instead, the only way to gain equipment & items is through either having an npc drop them, finding them via an adventure proctored by a mod/admin, or buy buying the equipment/item. Any player who requests equipment & items in a topic where a mod/admin has not given them such (though legitimate means and reasons) will be denied.

5. Equipment & items, just like attributes and gold, must be approved at the end of the topic before gained and added to the player's character sheet.

6. Equipment & items fall under the same rules as weapons and armor for making. This being, the character must buy the materials before making the equipment/item, but these materials only cost 1/10th of the equipment/item's original price. 

7. Equipment & items can be used both for combat, and not for combat at the player's choice. There are no limitations of when or where to use equipment & items, unless specifically mentioned.

8. Equipment & items can have required attributes in order to use them, however, this is nor a requirement. These attributes, unlike weapons, do not have to only be strength and dexterity, but can include any attributes.
