King James' message to the Kingdoms Empty
PostSubject: King James' message to the Kingdoms   King James' message to the Kingdoms EmptyWed May 06, 2015 9:21 pm

To the King and Queens of our realm,

Greetings, I a King James, of South Eastern kingdom. I offer this message as my greetings and as a way to share with you the knowledge that a new king has taken the throne of the kingdom of South Eastern.
I send this message as a sign of peace, a sign of alliance so that our kingdoms may see miracles and marvels happen. I myself have plans for the improvement of my kingdom, but I do not want my kingdom to be the only one that sees improvement.
I wish for us all to meet, the king and queens of this realm, to discuss peace, to exchange ideas and knowledge. I ask this of you, the kings and queens, to show that you are not afraid, to show that you wish for peace.
Now then, my suggestion for this Council of Kingdoms, must be in a place we all can reach easily, and I hate to put the kingdom of Midergern on the spot, but I was hoping that they would host the first Council of Kingdoms.
Now then, I know that as a new king, I'm asking a lot from the kingdoms, but in the search for peace, isn't shaking the very foundation of what we are built on necessary to make sure that it lasts. I come before and implore the kings and queens to join together, to find peace in our realm, so that we may enter into a golden age of prosperity. The Golden Age of Rune.
I hope to hear your reply to this message very soon,

Thank you, King and Queens of the realm,
the King of South Eastern, King James

King James' message to the Kingdoms Empty
PostSubject: Re: King James' message to the Kingdoms   King James' message to the Kingdoms EmptyFri May 08, 2015 10:24 pm

"Sir, you have a letter," Cedric fell off of his bed, hitting the floor at Griffin's voice. He let out a long groan.

"I never get to sleep, why couldn't this wait until later?"

"I like to see you suffer, Sir." Cedric peeked out from the covers that he had taken with him on his fall.

"You know I sleep in the nude, are you sure you weren't trying to sneak a peak?" Cedric winked.

"I must save my purity for marriage, you know that, Sir." Griffin deadpanned, bending down to life Cedric, knowing all too well he wouldn't get up on his own without throwing a flirting fit, and put him on his feet. "And I know you don't sleep naked, you just don't wear a shirt. You're worried Rowena might come in unexpectedly."

"Do you know everything about me?" Cedric scoffed, admitting defeat at the mention of his adopted daughter. Speaking of... He hadn't seen her in awhile. He panicked for a nano-second and was about to check on her when he remembered why he was so rudely awakened. "Is it a request for an assassination? A love letter from Archea? Your marriage proposal?"

"It's my job, no, no, and not yet, Sir, I need to court you first." Griffin made little check marks in the air as he listed off the questions given to him. "It's from a new king." Cedric walked toward his closet, looking through his clothes.

"Another one? They just keep springing up, don't they?" Cedric picked out his usual king attire, black leather pants and a skin-tight black shirt. "What's this one king of, exactly?" Cedric asked, walking back and taking the letter from his terrible choice of a guard.

"The King of South Eastern, Sir. Under the name James Dracolen." Griffin watched as Cedric read the letter, wondering when he came to work for such a strange man. "He's an assassin, like you."

Cedric's head snapped up at that, squinting his eyes.

"He's also an Orphan, Sir." Cedric's eyes narrowed.

"He also seems to bear some of the same physical traits," Griffin almost couldn't hold back his laughter from Cedric's face, and decided to brighten the odd situation. "He's not nearly as handsome, though. You're not called the King of Fay for nothing." Cedric stopped squinting AS much, but really...

"Are you serious?"

"When am I not?" Cedric gave Griffin a pointed look. "Fair enough, but yes I am. You're informants checked him out."

"Odd... but who better to kill humanity than it's very own orphans I guess, right?" Cedric shrugged, and looked down at the letter. "I should reply... Get me some paper and ink, Dear?"

"Of course," Griffin went off to get the writing utensils, glancing back to see Cedric looking pensively at Rowena's door.

Honestly, how was this man a father? Then again, taking care of a teenage girl wasn't as hard as running a kingdom and killing on the side. Griffin paused his thoughts.

How could this murderous, ruthless king be... Griffing watched as Cedric begged Archea to check on Rowena for him, bringing back what the King requested.

Dear James,

Thank you for the letter, I'd be happy to go on such a splendid date! Although I do prefer to be asked in person, a lovely letter is just as flattering. I'm sure this will go well, and we'll be going steady before you know it! I hear we have many things in common, so I'm certain it'll be a match made in the stars. Let me know when to head over, Hot Stuff.

King Cedric of the North

Griffin shook his head as he read the letter, how could he be him?

King James' message to the Kingdoms Empty
PostSubject: Re: King James' message to the Kingdoms   King James' message to the Kingdoms EmptySun May 10, 2015 6:57 pm

To the Kingdoms of the Realm,

First, I thank you all for replying graciously and in a timely manner. The letters all seem positive for a peace among us, and graciously has Lady Jaina of Midgern accepted my proposal of hosting this momentous occasion in her kingdom. I believe in two week's time we should meet. That should help us all prepare, but hopefully not given any of us the advantage of staging an army. I believe no more than three guards , including escorts, per royalty should be enough, but the ultimate decision lies with Queen Jaina.
Second, I offer no harm, and have seen in no harm in the other letters that I received. It has been pointed out that we must meet under the pretense of peace, and that is what this is about. Also, it has been noted by a few that any hostility will be deal with. I understand that war-starting hostility must no thrive, but don't forget that hostility is also how we strive to improve not only ourselves, but each other. So do not say any hostility will be crushed in war, instead, turn the other cheek, unless, of course, they are marching an army against you.
Third, as pointed out to me, there is an alliance already started, and I challenge those who have done such as to why did you hide in the shadows, plotting with a few, instead of making it open and public forum of debating and improvement. Yes, this is hostility towards those who hide in shadows, making secret plans. We are royalty, and as such need to rise above the shadows, and appear in the light. Do not fear the light.
Finally, and this is to King Cedric, only, I prefer women.

That is all from the king of South Eastern,

King James

To all kingdoms
Attached to all letters is a copy of all the responses King James recieved.

King James' message to the Kingdoms Empty
PostSubject: Re: King James' message to the Kingdoms   King James' message to the Kingdoms EmptyMon May 11, 2015 12:04 am

"Sir, another letter." Cedric placed the dish he was washing on the rack. Usually his staff would do that, but he had let them get off early as a thank you for all of their hard work during the busy time. Cedric wiped his hands on a rag to dry them, turning with a smile to Griffin.

"From that James fellow?" Cedric asked, walking toward Griffin and taking the letter offered to him.

Griffin watched as Cedric read the letter, the king's grin widening. Griffin had learned to catalog Cedric's smiles, as he did so all the time but each one meant different things.

Cedric was both amused and incredibly insulted right now, for instance.

"Sir?" Griffin asked tentatively. It was hard to insult Cedric. Really hard. Griffin had never known a man so full of self-confidence and well, lack of interest in others or what they thought of him. Griffin glanced down at the part of the letter Cedric's eyes were burning holes through.

I challenge those who have done such as to why did you hide in the shadows, plotting with a few, instead of making it open and public forum of debating and improvement. Yes, this is hostility towards those who hide in shadows, making secret plans. We are royalty, and as such need to rise above the shadows, and appear in the light. Do not fear the light.
Finally, and this is to King Cedric, only, I prefer women.

"How dare he say we sneak in shadows, that agreement was made long before these new rulers came to power!" Cedric fumed at the paper, striding over to the table just for the purpose of slamming it down on the surface. "Don't fear the light, Gods! How dare he question my morals?"

"Sir, you're the greatest assassin in the land, you don't have morals."

"Shut up, Griffin. No one asked you."

"You did, Sir. Just now." Cedric pointed a finger at his guard. "'That's a warning.', yes. I know, Sir." Griffin imitated Cedric's voice, matching it incredibly well.

"Never do that again, are there any more servants left?" Cedric stared at the letter, smirking at the last line. "Who can blame a man for loving such beautiful beings."

"Just Cecile, Sir." Cedric brightened up at his favorite writers name.

"Can you bring her in here?" Not long after, Cecile entered the kitchen.

"Your Highness?" Cecile asked, causing Cedric to turn around from staring at the letter as he had been before.

"Cecile! My Darling, please call me Cedric," He walked over to her, winking as he reached her. "I just needed something beautiful to calm me down."

Cecile's cheeks blushed, and turning her head upwards to the tall king she glared.

"I have real work to get to, Your Highness, I don't appreciate you taking up my time," Cecile turned her heel and started walking away.

"Wait! Okay, can you write me a letter? I'll speak it out for you, your handwriting is just much better than mine, naturally," Cedric walked over to the letter he had received. "I'll only say it once, if you miss any of it you'll have to sleep in my chambers tonight." Cedric winked, chuckling as Cecile seemed to turn pink and shake with anger. "I'm just kidding, dear. But please write this down,

"Dear James,

Oh alas! My heart is shattered, but who can blame a man for loving such fantastical creatures? Not I, as I am just as guilty. I'll be happy to travel for the peace conference, but I must warn you I am offended. The previous alliance made was long before new kings and queens sprouted up, there is no sneaking in shadows. It was done, and will always be done, openly. I'd like to recommend you do your research before you put to question any one of the Kings involved in that previous treaty. It was made to be built upon, for we knew these new rulers would come. I'm still looking forward to our date, no matter what you say. I'll forgive you for the misunderstanding, of course, just don't do it again. I don't take lightly to insults on my character as a king, but as it is I look forward to our romantic endeavour of an evening. I may bring along a guest or too, but they will stay with me and wont be a problem.

With ENORMOUS amounts of love,

Cedric."

Cecile finished writing is all down, passing it to Cedric to check.

"Could you put a little heart over the 'i' in my name at the end?" Cedric smiled sweetly.

"Your Highness, that's probably not a good idea..." Cecile sighed, doing as he asked anyway. There was no arguing with Cedric over his stupid little jokes.

"Amazing! You're wonderful, send that right away," Cedric called behind him as he walked towards his room to get some shut eye. He peeks his head back into the entrance, "And be sure to join me soon, the bed is so big and cold without someone else in there to warm me." Cedric jokingly put on a sad puppydog face, which was interrupted by Griffin grabbing his arm and pulling him away.

"I can do that for you, Sir." Griffin ignored Cedric's whines and protests, and Cecile was at a loss for words. King Cedric was one of a kind, thank the Gods.
