| Name: Rupture of Flame
Type of Rune: Arm
Type of Casting: Normal
Appearance: A long and intricate pattern, weaving it's way up the arm of the inscribed, appearing as a tattoo of a complex Celtic knot, or similar art work.
Effect:
Note: This rune covers both sides of the arm, thus taking up an entire arm, rather than just the top or just the underside like most arm runes do.
Before casting, the user must aim their arm towards the target, palm open to the target. Upon casting, an explosion instantly occurs, at the aimed target, and deals 400 damage. Can be cast up to 30ft away from the target.
No matter how close anything else might be, this rune only damages the target. The explosion cannot occur inside the target (inside your enemy's head), but rather occurs on the surface of the target.
Action Cost: 300
Memory Slots: 10
Patience Required: 40
Word Count to learn: 2,500
Word Count to Inscribe: 600

| The word count to inscribe seems like it might be a tad low, maybe move it up just a bit? Somewhere around 500 to 700? 300 just seems like so few words for inscribing this powerful an effect... Also, maybe either increase range (even just 10 more feet) or decrease action cost (probably not much, I think a very slightly increased range might be cool though). Just a thought to try to balance it better | |
