Appearance: A series of shields with inscriptions on each, this rune looks slightly different for each wearer. At the time of inscription, the wearer chooses a shield shape (round, kite, etc.) and coat of arms or insignia. This shield is at the center of the series and is slightly larger than the others.

Effect: When the rune is activated, the center (selected) shield glows for a moment and then vanishes, manifesting as a full shield on the wearer's arm. It appears on whichever arm has the rune, so be sure to inscribe it on the shield arm. The parameters of the shield do not change based on the selected shield, it is purely a stylistic preference. The shield is weightless and does not hinder the movement of the user in any way. The shield can block a maximum of 25 points of damage. A user can use a two-handed weapon while the shield is manifested, but cannot block with the shield and attack with the weapon in the same post. If the shield is used for blocking, that arm cannot be used for attacking. Applies to dual-wielding as well.. If the user is using both hands for his/her weapon, the shield has no effect. The shield cannot be used to shield bash, only to block. If a shield bash is attempted, it deals no damage and results in the user's arm hitting the opponent and nothing else. The shield persists until it has absorbed 150 points of damage or at the end of five (5) posts, whichever is sooner. The rune activation is almost instant, allowing for manifestation of the shield and blocking with it in the same post. The shield has no attribute requirements.

Maybe round off the total damage absorbed to some multiple of 25, just to simplify it a little. Also, "can use a two-handed weapon while the shield is manifested, but cannot attack with the weapon", sounds a little confusing, since you can't do much with a two-handed weapon except for attack (unless it's some weapon-tool and you're crafting; then you'd have no need for the shield.)
Otherwise, looks pretty good.

Sorry about the ambiguity, that phrase was meant to say that they can't block with the shield and attack with the two-handed weapon in the same post. I also meant to put 150, good catch, thank you.
